Youth Work Hub is the brainchild of Amy Morton, a qualified & experienced graduate youth worker who always had a passion about interactive, creative resources. Youth Work Hub started in September 2012 as simply a way to share her ideas with the youth work community, but since then has quickly developed into a much bigger project.

And all from an idea scribbled on a notebook on a train journey...

Where the idea started

ABOUT US

Youth Work Hub is a completely free resource network for youth workers (and anyone else working with young people).

Anyone can download as many resources as they like, completely free. All of our resources can be adapted and used by anyone working with young people; the whole point is that we're creating the foundations for fantastic youth work. What you do with those foundations is completely up to you.

Youth Work Hub also provide training and workshops about developing creative, innovative resources; we want all youth workers to have creative passion for their work, and to be able to encourage young people to develop this passion themselves.

We truly believe that the future of youth work is in engaging fully with young people on their terms, not those of the adults around them.

Creating youth work resources that really engage with young people, get them thinking about the topic in question, and encourage them to seek information and develop their own skills; that's what we're passionate about. And we're hoping you will be too.

Our Mission Statement:

To provide a free website for youth workers to find good quality. professional ideas and resources that they can really use

To create a national (or even international) community of youth workers who can develop their own resources, to really engage fully with young people

To give young people the opportunity to design & run their own youth work projects and resources, & support them to do so

To encourage youth workers to view innovation as a foundation of great youth work
