Youth Work Students
Youth Workers
We have lots going on, and we always have something new in development. However, we always always need to know that what we're working on is relevant to youth workers and young people alike, and that there's a real need for what we're planning to offer.
That's why we have 4 Focus Groups, which are just groups of people who are happy for us to ask them for their opinions on what we're doing. This is usually only once a month, and takes about 30 - 60 minutes of their time; but what they tell us is invaluable in help[ing to keep our work relevant and useful.
All of our Focus Groups are 'Virtual' - we send out an email each month with up to 3 documents or links for the group members to look at and provide feedback on. There are no meetings to attend, and you can literally take part at any time of day, anywhere you like. It even counts as Volunteering!
To join a focus group, email: focusgroups@youthworkhub.co.uk
This group is for youth workers, including volunteers.
Most of the tasks this group are asked to complete involve checking out our latest resources and giving us feedback about what works or what doesn't work. They also sometimes get asked to check out a new feature on our website, or the website of a new partner organisation.
To join this group, you just need to be a practicing youth worker, anywhere in the world.
This is a more targeted group, just for Youth Work Students.
Members of this group are asked to feed back about our latest resources, our blogs, and our planned projects. We also sometimes ask them to give us ideas about what would help them in their studies, and how we can support them to create resources of their own.
To join this group, you need to be currently studying youth work on an NVQ, Undergraduate or Masters course in the UK, part time or full time.
