Resource Development
At Youth Work Hub, we have lots of great roles available for volunteers. From resource development to web development, and everything in between, you're sure to find a role that suits you. Our volunteers can offer as much or as little of their time as they like every month, and all our roles are totally flexible to fit around your life. In fact, most of them are totally virtual, which means you don't even have to leave the comfort of your own home!
The roles we're currently looking to recruit volunteers to are explained below, but if you have skills in another area, don't worry; we'd still love to hear from you. If any role does appeal to you, please use the form at the bottom of the page to register your interest in volunteering, and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
We're always looking out for creative people to help us design and create great new resources for youth workers.
You don't need to be a youth worker for this; we just need you to be open-minded and creative, and willing to perhaps give up 2-3 hours a month to proof-read our latest resources before they're added to our website.
This role is as flexible as you want it to be, it really is all about giving up your time when you're able to. You can even choose to 'specialise' in developing resources of a particular type or about a particular topic for us, if there's an area you're particularly knowledgable on.
Alongside our 2 regular bloggers, we're always looking for new writers to give our readers a fresh new perspective on youth work issues.
Whether you're a budding journalist, a keen blogger, or a young person with views about the issues affecting you, we'd be glad to consider you as a blogger on our site.
You can be a 'Guest Blogger' and just blog once or twice for us, or you can become a new 'Regular Blogger' and blog on a more regular basis for us (usually every 1-2 months). You don't need to be an expert on youth issues, you just need to be keen to blog about them!
We're looking for tech-savvy people to help us develop and maintain our ever-growing website.
Our website is possibly the aspect of our work that takes up most of our time, and this is partly because we're not experts in website development. If you have an interest in web development and fancy doing some volunteering, this is the perfect chance to gain voluntary experience by doing something you're really interested in!
Our website developers can offer as much or as little time as they like to our roles, and creative solutions to problems will be actively encouraged.
Every organisation in the modern world needs great spokespeople, who can really shout about their good work, and we're no different.
We have opportunities for budding journalists, Social Media gurus, and even PR Officers to help us maintain our media presence on the net and, increasingly, in the wider media.
These are great opportunities for anyone with an interest in Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing to gain real-world experience working for a non-profit organisation. We'll even support applications from our volunteers to related degree courses, by providing them with references.
