This is a classic youth work icebreaker, which works equally well with small groups and large groups, and groups of all ages.

The basic idea is that the group needs to organise themselves into a specified order - for example, their birthdays, shortest to tallest, etc - completely silently. They can use sign language, gestures....anything they like to communicate, as long as they remain in silence. Hopefully, they'll end up in the right order!!
